Danville City Council
The City Council is made up of the Mayor elected at large and 14 Aldermen representing 7 Wards. Danville is a strong Mayor form of municipal government where the day to day administrative duties are enacted upon by the Mayor. The City Council is a legislative body that adopts resolutions and ordinaces.
The City Council is divided up into two sub-committees that meet the week before and vote on pending legislation.

Meetings
The Danville City Council meets the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6 PM at the Robert E Jones Municipal Building at 17 W Main on the corner of Walnut and Main. The Council will vote on Resolutions and Ordinances reviewed during the previous Tuesday Public Services or Public Works Committee meeting. The council chambers are in the basement. Elevator and stairs are located on the Main Street entrance.
