Evening Dial A Ride Service
On weekday evenings, a Dial A Ride service is operated which serves all of Route 1 Grant/Logan, the portion of Route 2 Gilbert south of Roselawn, the portion of Route 8 Douglas Park west of Bowman and the portion of Route 12 S. Danville along Gilbert St. between Main and 4th St. The service operates from 6:45pm until 9:30pm (2 Gilbert after 7:45pm), making connections with the other routes at the Transfer Zone at :15 and :45 minutes after each hour. Riders wanting to be picked up at any stop in this service area should call DMT at 431-0653 at least one hour before they want to schedule their trip. Riders wanting to return to the service area may transfer from other buses or board at the Transfer Zone.
Bus stops
Buses will stop only at locations designated by DMT bus stop signs, except on 9 Georgetown and 13 Tilton south of I-74, where stops will be made at any intersection where it is safe to do so. Stops on the 10 Danvile-Champaign route are listed in the timetable.
Accessible services
Buses are accessible for persons using wheelchairs and other mobility devices. For persons unable to use regular transit service, paratransit (curb to curb) service is available. Eligibility for the paratransit service is determined by guidelines in the ADA. Requests for certification should be made to the DMT office.
Tickets for paratransit rides are 5 for $8, (fares south of Tilton are higher) and are available only at the DMT offices. To obtain paratransit rides, certified riders should call 217-443-2999 at least 1 day in advance.
