Human Resources Administrator

The Human Resources Division is responsible for developing, maintaining and administering the City’s personnel policies. This includes interpreting policy, recruiting and hiring new employees, handling grievances, record keeping, administering the CDL Drug and Alcohol Program, and general human resources activities. Direct assistance is provided to the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners for recruiting and testing of probationary police and probationary fire candidates, which occurs every two years, and the promotion examination process which occurs every three years.
